On behalf of the School of Engineering Technology and Applied Sciences (SETAS) office: The School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science (SETAS) is observing National Engineering Week, February 24 to March 4, by hosting a series of displays and demonstrations which will showcase the work of our students and our programs. You will be amazed at the work that is being produced!
On Wednesday, February 28, the Environmental Students Society will be presenting Al Gore's controversial and thought-provoking film entitled, ' An Inconvenient Truth '. If you have not already seen this powerful film, make a date to do so on February 28, Room 203, at the HP Centre. There will be 2 back-to-back screenings starting at 10:30 a.m. The film runs for approximately an hour and a half. We also invite you to attend a very exciting and informative Sustainable Technology Event on Wednesday, February 28, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at our Centennial HP Science and Technology Centre, 755 Morningside Avenue. The program will feature light refreshments, a networking/socializing period, presentations and displays from students, faculty and industry partners. At 6:30 we will hear from 3 prominent guest speakers, who will talk on their experience in developing sustainable projects and culture. There will be time allotted for questions, answers and discussions with this panel of distinguished speakers. For a more complete schedule of events, please visit our website at http://www.centennialcollege.ca/future/engweek07.jsp. This promises to be a fun and informative week, and we look forward to seeing you. Jag Mohan Herbert Sinnock Jacqueline Hazlewood |
